ENCs and ARCS - working together
The Admiralty ECDIS Service is an easy to manage, low administration, worldwide solution to navigating with electronic charts. It combines Electronic Navigational Charts (ENCs) and the Admiralty Raster Chart Service (ARCS) in a single service at a fixed annual price.
The ENCs used in the Admiralty ECDIS Service meet SOLAS chart carriage requirements when kept up-to-date and used within an ECDIS with suitable backup.
Coverage
The Admiralty ECDIS Service is available in 36 regional folios. Each regional folios is available in these levels of coverage:
Transit - the ENCs and ARCS charts required for safe transit, including
key ports of refuge and bunkerage ports.
Standard - the ENCs and ARCS charts required for operational use,
including all key ports and approach charts.
Full - all available ENCs and ARCS charts.
