The Future of Navigation
An introduction to Admiralty e-Navigator brought to you by the Admiralty Academy
We find ourselves in interesting times, facing the challenges of a changing economy, manpower, training, compliance and safety, while the introduction of mandatory ECDIS carriage from 2012 is rapidly approaching.
This special 'Admiralty Academy' event offered an introduction to Admiralty e-Navigator, the latest development in digital navigation. Admiralty e-Navigator could revolutionise the way that you plan your passage, order and maintain your chart holdings, and have a significant impact on the time it takes to perform routine tasks.
During the day, delegates were given an overview of Admiralty e-Navigator and had the opportunity to experience it for themselves during a structured session to guide them through the key features and how it could help on a day to day basis. With Admiralty experts on hand to help every step of the way, the session finished with time for questions and answers for the Admiralty Academy panel, followed by refreshments.
The Future of Navigation was held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Athens on 12 October 2010.
